Join us every Monday during term time for inspiring art sessions designed specifically for adults aged 60 and above. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time in decades or looking to develop existing skills, our classes are relaxed, friendly, encouraging and welcome artists at beginner to intermediate levels
What You’ll Explore
Pencil Drawing – Master the fundamentals of sketching, shading, and proportion. Learn techniques for capturing portraits, landscapes, and still life subjects with confidence.
Watercolour Painting – Dive into the beautiful, flowing world of watercolours. Discover colour mixing, wet-on-wet techniques, and how to create stunning effects with this beloved medium.
Oil Pastels – Experience the vibrant, expressive possibilities of oil pastels. Perfect for those who love rich colours and tactile art-making.
What We Provide
All session materials and equipment are included, and your own sketchbook is included in cost of the deposit – simply bring your enthusiasm and creativity. Our sessions are designed to be social and enjoyable, with plenty of time to chat with fellow artists over tea and biscuits.
No previous experience necessary – just a willingness to learn and have fun! Each week builds naturally on the last, but classes are flexible enough that you won’t feel lost if you miss a session.

One month of class fees (£35) is payable at the first session by cash, card or bank transfer and then continues on a rolling basis, due on the first Monday of each month.
